Medical Case Management
Registered Nurse Field Case Managers proactively oversee medical treatment of injured workers and interact with all involved to ensure appropriate, cost effective care and timely return to work. Our Nurse Case Managers are experienced in case management with clinical expertise in various areas of nursing care with an average experience base of 12 years.
Review Med’s case management program adheres to the philosophical and ethical guidelines set forth by the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification’s (CRCC) principles and codes of ethics. We perform case management activities to:
- Return the injured worker to a productive lifestyle that includes return to work.
- Ensure appropriate medical care is provided by licensed and appropriate physicians, physical therapists, hospitals, pharmacies and other treatment providers.
- Ensure the claims adjuster is kept informed on all case management activities involving the injured worker, and
- Ensure that the injured worker is returned to work at the soonest medically appropriate time. If job accommodations are needed, Review Med also works with employers to make sure the return to work is successful.
Telephonic Case Management
Review Med’s Registered Nurses and telephonic services team initiate medical management immediately upon worker injury and especially if there is lost time from work. The team expedites the referral and assigns a telephonic nurse case manager immediately. The result: faster and appropriate treatment for the injured party and significant cost savings for you. Telephonic services are provided on-site or off-site depending on the customer’s needs.
